Relaxound
Founded in 2013 and based in Berlin, Relaxounds is committed to sustainable practices. All their wood is locally sourced from a production company in Thuringia, Germany, using timber from responsibly managed regional woodlands and forests. The company adheres to international quality standards, including ISO, FSC, and Fair Trade certifications.
Relaxounds also operates manufacturing facilities in India that comply with Fair Production Standards. These standards ensure fair wages, fully paid holidays, employment of 50% female workers, inclusion of 5% employees with disabilities, payment during lockdowns and vaccinations, and donations to local communities.
Environmental protection is a key focus for Relaxounds, actively supporting 1% for the Planet, an international association dedicated to environmental conservation, collaborating with nearly 4,000 audited non-profit environmental organizations.
In their production countries, Relaxounds supports two additional organizations: Verein Bergwaldprojekt in Germany, which focuses on forest preservation and maintenance, and Sadhana Forest in India, which works on transforming eroded land into a thriving tropical dry forest. Relaxounds also gives back through product donations, providing free soundboxes to hospitals, nursing homes, and hospices.
